Who would have thought that Pirates of the Caribbean is not just an entertaining movie, but also a great piece of music? More than 120 people attended Sunday night’s Prom at The Regal, an afternoon full of live music from the East Oxford Orchestra.

The concert was held in aid of Free Cakes for Kids Oxford – a great opportunity to tell people about the volunteer work that we do. As a special guest in the Cello section, the orchestra featured our volunteer and community liaison Heidi.

The programme included Bach’s Brandenburg Concert No 3, Marcello’s Trumpet Concerto with soloist Tom Allen, The Tempest by Thomas Linley Jr. and Music from Pirates of the Caribbean. Guest appearances were made by Cheney School Orchestra, the SS Mary & John School String Ensemble and the East Oxford Youth Choir. Many thanks to all the wonderful musicians and guests for a great concert.

thank you for all your efforts that you have put in this. Very interesting information. “There is no more miserable human being than one in whom nothing is habitual but indecision.” by William James.
